Position Summary

Odyssey is currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our growing Human Capital Management Team at our Wakefield office.  The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting a broad range of HR functions, including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS tasks, employee relations, and compliance. This role requires agility, flexibility, and a strong understanding of HR processes and systems.  This is a full time role located at our corporate office in Wakefield, MA.  Three days a week in office. 

 

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for new hires and departing employees.
  • Administer HRIS systems and collaborate with team members to optimize workflows and data integrity.
  • Support recruitment activities, including job postings, offer letters, and intake meetings.
  • Maintain employee files and data with accuracy, collaborating with HRBPs and other stakeholders to ensure consistency and accessibility.
  • Assist with career stream reviews and organizational updates by supporting HRBPs.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, including gifts, bereavement, maternity, and get well guidelines.
  • Participate in HR projects, such as system revamps and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR-related questions and concerns.

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field

Years of Experience: At least three (3) to five (5) years of HR-related experience

Certifications: SPHR, PR or other SHRM-related certification is preferred

 

Technical Skills

  • Experience with process documentation
  • Knowledge of HRIS platforms, UKG is preferred. 

Interpersonal Skills

  • Familiarity with engaging customer service skills including email and phone communications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs in a fast paced environment

Additional Information

Location: Wakefield, MA

Remote, Onsite, or Hybrid: Hybrid, three days a week in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
